HOW DO YOU GET OFF THE OUTER (VISABLE) C-CLIP OFF OF THE ˟˟˟˟˟ING TRIPOD BEARING?

Are there C-clip pliers or something that opens them up so you can slide them off??!?!?!? I've been prying at this frigging thing for 2 hours now, and Im gonna jump through the wall soon If i dont get it offf!!!

There is a tool called "snap ring pliers" designed for those tricky terds. They make them in all different shapes depending on the different size and shape of the c-clips.

I've successfully removed them using a pick tool set too. You may have to use a couple small flat head screw drivers if you do not have picks or snap ring pliers.

But you should be able to find either tools at autozone or shucks.

Here is an example I found on eBay of snap ring pliers.

Good luck.

OKay, I just thought about that.

I already bought them at the autopart store, and got that first C-clip off.

Now I cant find the second c-clip.

Goddamnit.

I have to pull the tripod bearing up (towards the diff. end) to expose the second c-clip?! Where the ĊĊĊĊ is it.

If I slide it down towards the outer cv, It get stopped by the lip on the axle itself. If I slide it up towards the differential, I see no smaller C-clip.

What am i doing wrong?
