Identify a part pics

I ripped a boot, but I dont know which one it is, But i want to get it replaced if it needs to be.

Its the lower boot here its got a bit taken out of it.

#1 Take a clear picture; I can't see anything in that picture
#2 Circle what you think is ripped
#3 If you don't know what suspension part you damaged.....well, i don't know how us telling you will help you much.

i think i see where the boot is ripped but i dont understand whaat hes asking..?

if thats what your talking about you should just replace both of your cv's so you dont have to worry about it

No its he one about two inches down to the left

I got it sorted out at car quest. Its the tie rod linkage boot.

I ripped it last night wheeling, so it hasn't been ripped too long.

I found out which part it is, but to end confusion its this one

You can barly see hte rip if you look.

Also has anyone ever replaced one of these before? How do you go about it? I'm also thinking about replaceing the steering rack bushings while I'm under there.

Also how bad is it to run it without the boot? It probal went through some mud and water while ripped. I wrapped it up in a plastic bag and duct tape till I ca get it fixed, but that might be a bit, and it sits outside.

it looks like your cv may be torn as well you should look into that

PM replied.

I'm pretty sure you're going to have to remove the outer tierod and pull the boot off, slip the new one on, and replace the outer tierod. Make sure to mark the tierods when you take them off so you can put them back as close as possible. You still might want to get an alignment afterward, though.

I checked it all over pretty well, I think its just the camera angle but I'll go take another look
