[quote=Flamedx4]The first one pictured in this thread is bone stock (except for the wheels and tires.) I have seen a bunch of them - it's simply a 4 door 84-89 4Runner, but it was not called a 4Runner. I forget what they called it. Lots of em in places like indonesia and hong kong. I've seen those and the 4door pickups used by police in many asian countries.
[quote]

Dude if you've seen a bunch of these please post a pic or link to info if you can. I searched for like an hour last night looking up Thailand 4runners and Surfs and couldn't find anything. I think it looks cool and want some more pics.

I'll take yer lunch money if you don't do it.... J/K

I couldn't find a single thing on the net either. I saw them (I rode in one as a taxi) back in 90 and 92 traveling (Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia) on business. Can't say much more than that. I noticed them because I had an 85 4Runner. Guess I shouldnt say there lots of them, but I did see a few. Lots of the 4 door pickups though.

Red Iceland first gen

The red truck from Iceland looks like they took the back end of a 60 Series Cruiser and fabbed it on, and flipped an extra set of rear windows upside down and stuck em in the middle. Its cool lookin, almost looks like a 4Runner. If they took the 4Runner slider windows and put em in, then it would look just like a Pre-1st gen Runner...that is awesome!

Where would you find those oversized window visors? PP has them but only for the front doors.

I wish you could buy iceland fender flares here, they look so cool. I also love how iceland trucks don't have a huge gap between the tire and wheel well

If you really want them, I doubt it would be much trouble finding it here and then just ship it.

If you're looking for flares for small tires, I'm sure it's no big deal to find, but you might have to buy the 38" flares new.

There are few companies here that make these for many models and sizes.

That "gap" between the fender and wheel actually serves a purpose. It's for something called up-travel. Those of us who crank thier lift in via torsions or adjustable coilovers don't know what uptravel is.

Those are some cool looking trucks. I wish I could buy a 4 door truck with a solid front axle and a diesel.
