I smashed my Skid Plate

So I smashed up my stock skid plate and was wondering if there are any websites that sell good strong skid plates for my 2nd gen 4runner. Any clues? I've been searching but have only found skid plates for 2004 tacomas. help!

I know it doesnt look that bad but it does if you stand back and look at it and this is a pic of it after i took it off and stepped on it so it wouldnt look like a taco anymore.

I got my Tough Coutry heavy duty alloy skid before i even had a chance to bash up the stocker skid. My new one has been bashed, banged, beat, and repainted several times. Pound that sucker out and give it a custom paint job. There are better things to spend mod money on. You figure $100-200 for an after market skid when you could buy sliders from Stubbs for around $200 or $250. Not sure what his price is now but I have them and they rock.

A few offroad companies such as Rockstomper used to offer torsion bar IFS skid plates but I dont think they do anymore. I was really looking for a good skid plate a while ago but no one offer any, and I couldnt find any used ones for sale. That was before I knew how to weld. I think your best bet would be to custom make yourself one, which is what I am doing (along with my custom rear bumper

Do a search. I thought there were some good links to beefier skid plates.

Better your skid plate then what's behind it!

Check out www.BudBuilt.com. I have one of his dual transfer case crossmember/skidplates and it kicks ass.

EDIT: I was too slow. Somebody beat me to it.

I would just take a BFH (one of those dollies for body work would be even better), pound it back into shape, repaint it if you're feeling real industrious, and put the sucker back on there.

I need to do that with mine...it's got a big dent in it from when I went to Big Bend four months ago....

I haven't seen it all, but I did take my truck down the only totally unmaintained road in the park. It was nothing really gnarly (nowhere near what I've seen posted here) but I thought it was fun, and the scenery is gorgeous. Plus there are lots of places you can stop and explore on foot, like abandoned mines and settlements. I'm a novice wheeler anyway....
