Hey guys,

I am a new owner of a little 93 Toyota pickup and this thing is awesome. First thing I did was look around for a good forum and I found one, but it wasn't near as active as the Ford forum (used to own an F-150) and I was quite disappointed. Finally I ran across this one, and man, this one is IT!

Expect to get plenty of dumb questions from me as I gradually transition from thinking like a dummy with a Fix-Or-Repair-Daily to a dignified operator of a fine import truck!

By the way, im in Cumming, GA which is north east of Atlanta up highway 400... so if you want someone to offroad with give me a holler

Welcome aboard. Just be familiar with the search button and you will get along fine. Is there any good places to legally 'wheel in your area?

I don't really know, I'm very new to 4-wheeling. My Ford was a 4x2, so it was just a hot rod heh heh

There's this one little powerline trail i like to go on but its like a 1/2 mile so it's only a few minutes of fun. There's also a huge construction site that is pretty good but I really would like to find more trails than just driving on huge fields of soft dirt.

There is, however, an awesome powerline trail up at school in Chattanooga, so when I get up there I plan on taking it as far as my stock truck will walk it.

Also when I was in Gatlinburg I went east and found this awesome set of trails going out into the Appalachian mountains. I want to go again and explore some more.

Has anyone ever tried looking for trails using Google's sattelite maps? I've actually done it before. In some places you can get a really great zoom and see the trails in the woods.

I'm in Dawsonville. There's not many places around to wheel.

RustBucket, I would suggest you not 'wheel in those places since it sounds more like they are private properties. You'll get flamed on this board if you 'wheel illegally and then post about it. If you want to go very badly then you can take the trip up to Tellico for the Fall Colors Run. Linky I'm sure these guys will teach you the ropes.

Yeah I realize that the construction site is illegal and that's why I don't go anymore - one of my friends introduced me to it.

The little trail by my house is a powerline trail I think and I have seen many many dirtbikes and ATVs out there so I figured there was no harm.

And the powerline trail in Chattanooga is part of the college's property so it's all cool
