My mom's boyfriend has some Super Swamper SSR's on his Blazer w/ less than 1000 miles on them. He said he'd sell them to me for cheap. So I was was curious if you guys had any information them? Such as how they handle on rocks, mud, snow, and ice. Any information would be a great help in my decision process.

suck on ice... hell all tires suck on ice unless they have studs....

they are noisy, dont have as much tread as the regular swampers.. do ok off road.... whys he selling htem? most liekly he doenst liek the ride, oh yeah they ride rough too....

He actually just wants to get some 35's for the Blazer (right now thier 33's). I'm thinking that I might go this route since it will be much cheaper (at least at this point) than buying a brand new set of MTR's or something. This way I can have up some money to buy an excellent set later.

You must rotate them regularly. The are grippy tires but that means they wear out pretty fast if you are driving on them a lot. They will be good in mud and on rocks, but they are a heavy tire.

Anyone actually own these?

They're on a 1977 F150 351M that my family uses as a work/fun truck. They are 33 and have been virtually unbreakable for us but after 3 years of with a variety of driving, they are worn out with less than 30k on them. We have switched to BFG MT (the older style) for Gravelroma last year and they were a cheap used set. I must admit that the heavy truck will cause the tires to wear much differently than your Toy but nothing like how the F350 SD 7.3 kills tires.

So I am not sure if I am much help for comparison reasons?

Bought it when I was 14....had fun rebuilding it for 2 years before I got my license.

Yeah, no matter what tires I end up getting I'll be rotating the regularly to help prolong their life span.

if these are for a daily driver, I would recommend that you look into another option. They will wear very fast, be very noisy and they dont have near the tread depth of some of the other swampers. They are the best of the swamper bunch as far as on road characteristics go, but I'd try to find something else. I've got BFG Mts on my 4runner, I am on my second set, they wear extremely well on road and handle GOOD off road. I also have some Pro Comp Xterrains on my pickup (rear spool) and they have worn extremely well for an aggressive tire, especially considering I have a rear spool.
