I believe my Husky floor liners are causing moisture on my floorboards. The past year or so, everytime I have pulled my front Husky liners the carpet underneath them has been wet. I thought water was leaking into the cab and getting trapped underneath the Husky liners, so I never thought much of it.

Recently, I took out my Husky liners (wet again) and put the carpet floor mats back in there. I have had no moisture issues since.

Today, I took out the rear liner for the first time in probably a year. The rear carpet was soaked.

Does anyone else have this problem? And what could be the possible causes of this?

I have the heavy duty rubber toyota mats and I notice moisture in the carpet under the driverside from time to time. I think it is just that a minimal amount of moisture will normally get into the carpet, with the regular mats it can evaporate but I think with the rubber mats hold the moisture under them until it builds up. That is my best geuss.

Thanks, however this is not minimal moisture. The carpets are soaked.

that sounds more like a leak, ryan... i've got huskies and take them out about once a month to vaccum under them and i've never had any water issues. i'm also in the south in a humid area like you, so i don't think that running the AC is an issue for normal "condensation" or something that.

however, i've noticed that if you do get your carpet wet, it just about will NOT dry out unless you remove the huskys.

do you know if your AC condensate drain is working? turn on the truck, crank the AC on full blast. w/in a few minutes you should have a fairly steady water drip just inboard and behind the front passenger tire. if there's no water, then your drain is plugged and that water will then run down the firewall and soak the carpet.

also check to make sure that the rear window is up all the way. if it's ever so slightly cracked - and sometimes you won't notice cause it will look fully closed - then it can also leak into the cargo area...

I had the same problem and found out I had a leak on the passenger side of my TACO.

I had the same problems in my Tacoma. However, I found it to be a leak. There's a drain hole on the floorboard that wasn't sealed properly. I caulked around it, and I haven't had anymore moisture issues.

Where was the drain hole? You caulk inside or outside?

In my Tacoma, I think it was right in the middle of the floorboard underneath the mat. It's been a while since I've done it. I just ran a bead of caulk from the inside. Since then, no more moisture issues.
