How's This Engine Swap Sound
Wondering if this is a good engine swap? I have a 1990 4runner and I can get a 7MGTE Supra engine. Can anybody tell me if this will be a good swap? Will it work for California Smog? Will it take major mods or cutting? What about gas mileage and power. Is it worth it?

Although this is also somethign that could be searched...
For CA engine swaps the engine must be of the same year or newer than the model year of the car. You also need some other stuff, but most of that applies to intake stuff, which I qould assume you'd just use the supra intake, which I think would be fine. (Holy runon sentence, Batman!)
Once you do that swap you have to go get it inspected by the referee. If/when they give you a green light, they give you a sticker that goes in your door jamb. At this point you can go get the car SMOGed (and you they won't smog a illegal car).
Good luck with you're swap. If you're local to me I may be able to help.
