How to pull a T-Case:

I need to pull my transfer case to take it to a local shop to get checked out. I know I need sockets, and a deadblow to get it out. Any other tools I might need besides another set of hands? Also, can somebody give me a few steps/pointers to pull it out? Thanks. Here's a couple pictures of what I'm working with.

Thanks,
Jason

Never heard of a chain coming off.

You'll want to support the trans since you have to remove the crossmember. So have a trans jack or a good tall jack handy.

All you should have to do is remove the 10 or so bolts that holds the t-case to the tranny. I've never done it with the t-case still on the vehicle. It might be a little tough getting at the top bolts though. Have a good assortment of ratchet extensions and a u-joint adapter or a swivel socket. Then remove the crossmember to t-case bolts and finally the crossmember itself.
