How much tranny fluid and weight for a '98?
I just got my 4runner two days ago. I've already taken it in to get Mobile1 syn motor oil. I'd like to take it in and get the tranny fluid replaced but I don't have an owner's manual and I don't trust oil change places to get it right.
If someone could tell me what weight and how many quarts, I would appreciate it.. I will probably be going with Mobile1 synthetic. It's a '98, 3.4L auto...

Tranny fluid doesn't go by weight, you need Dexron II or III. As for the amount if you just do a drain and refill it'll take about 4 litres. If you're doing a complete flush and replacement you'll need 12-15 litres. Read here for more info
