How much horse poer after mods?
Hello everyone I have been lurking through this group for a while.
A great bit of info can be found here.
From this group I have found out and have done the following:
Silencers Removal Mod
Elbow and Snorkel Removal Mod
4” Deck Plate Mod
Removed stock clutch fan and installed a Flex-a-Lite Fan model 210
Replace Stock Sparkplug Wires with Magnacore 8.5 wires
Replace Spark plugs with Bosch +4 Platinum
(the last two I know will not gain any HP)
My next step is to put on a Borla cat back system (still shopping around for the best price, any suggestions of good prices appreciated)
I am leery of a K&N filter or an Amsiol filter due to the reports of the filter oil on the mass airflow
My truck is a 2000 3.4 v6 Tacoma 4x4
Stock HP is 190 hp @ 4800 rpm and stock Torque is 220 lbs.-ft @ 3600rpm.
Anyone have any idea of what ranges my hp and torque is now? And where I will be after the exhaust install?
I do not have access to a dyno?
TIA

Either the deckplate or the Elbow removal will yield about 5HP. It appears to be a "one or the other" mod. Personally, I have both mods because I like the idea of "cold" air from the fender when I close the deckplate.
The ISR mod took an average .2 seconds off my 30 to 70 MPH WOT 3rd gear ET. That is significant!
Exhaust can add anywhere from 3 to 10 HP depending on the system.
As for the fan mod...I dont think anyone has dynoed that. While some people disagree, the majority of fan modders have enjoyed better throttle response and an engine that appears more eager to rev. I might steer you towards the Taurus/Sable fan mod, as it is much more cost effective than the FLX's.
Most of these mods are peak HP mods. Meaning, the power gain will be felt at or above the engines normal peak power point.
Without forced induction or giggle gas, you are looking at power gains in a very narrow part of the power band.
But, never fear, myself and others are always looking for ways to get more power. I have some things in the works...
