I get a discount through Batteries Plus (like 15%) but these guys are total idiots and cannot find the part number off their own website, nor can they find the model number that I found referenced in another post on the Yellow Tops. That model number is 9151189 with 870CA, 750CCA, and 120RC. Where did ya'll buy yours and how much can I expect to spend? I can't stand dealing with idiots!!!!!! Thanks.

Advance Auto/Kragen's/Checker/Shucks should have a pretty good price... about $150.. But there are a lot better batteries than Optima. I've been through 4 yellow tops and a red... so I know.

98LimitedCustomized,
What other brands are out there that offer the same advantages of a Yellow Top (deep cycle and a starter battery)? I've got quite a bit of accessory lighting and a pretty beefy sound system, which both of those are run with the truck running. However, when tailigating, I like to turn the truck off and use my inverter to power a 20" and amplified antenna. What other options do I have? Thanks.

Check into the Autozone Duralast, the Sears Diehard, or even the Walmart Everstart... they are all the same battery. Also check into Napa's line of batteries... very solid. I don't mean to bash Optima, they're a top shelf battery, I just know they've been bragged up a bit higher than they should. They have a good warranty, don't let me scare you from getting one. I'm running a red and a yellow as we speak, but the yellow has been replaced under warranty twice.

Yeah, I've seen quite a bit of that in my vast searches on the Optimas. I don't want to drop $150+ on a battery that may die on me in 2 years when the stockie is trucking along just fine after almost five years. I've had the AutoZone Duralast before and hated them. I definitely won't be going to route.

the prive was 169 plus tax. plus core charge... it came to 185 after all was said and done. i know i wasnt expecting to pay that much either but my other battery was DEAD so i was kinda stuck at sears, and i didnt feel like driving all over town to find a better deal.
