How many miles on your shocks?

How many miles on your shocks?
There is another thread on here that got me to thinking about how many miles you can get before you have to change your factory shocks?
My 01 Tacoma 4x4 see's allot of off road driving and I broke a leaf on the drivers side rear at about 65,000 on a really rocky trail and had that replaced. But the shocks are still really stiff and show no problems at all and I have 73,000 on it. Just wondering how long they last for you all. I know that raised rigs and special built don't qualify for this question but allot of folks on here are just running good old Tacoma stuff straight from it's birth Mike

Well on my 4runner I changed them out right after I bought the vehicle. The ranchos I put on had to be replaced after 70k miles. The taco still has the original fronts with bilstien rear. Will probably change them out next spring.

146k on my factory shocks so far, and they're showing no evidence of failure yet. I love my Toyotas!

I replaced mine at 90k on my 3rd gen, the fronts were getting a little sketchy and with me living on a really bad dirt road, you've gotta have good footing or you need some serious cushioning!

Thanks for the replys on this guy's. It just goes to show that Toyota products are hard to beat but for some reason we just have to replace Things ( including stock shocks) and many other factory parts. Somtimes I wonder if all these mods are a good idea especialy if you look at the fact that many Toyotas have 400,000 miles on them useing standard oil, grease , gear grease (no synthetics) or fancy air filters and just toyota oil filters. Maybe I should quit blowing money on all that fancy stuff. Well......Maybe just a few mods every now and then,:0) Anybody got any fuzzy dice they want to sell? Mike
