How to install factory (stanley) foglights?
Hi,
I own a 99 4runner SR5 non-sports 4wd. I was lucky enough to buy a pair of factory (stanley) foglights with brackets on ebay for under $200 brand new.
I bolted the fogs on and hooked up the connectors that already exist on my 4runner. My questions is now what? i can't figure out how to connect the fog light under the steering wheel.
I see a pair of unused socket connectors, but they don't match the three legged switch i got from separatly from ebay. I saw some pictures of 4runners with factory foglights, but i didn't see any switches in them on the dash. do i even need a switch?, any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance.

After your fog lights are installed, you will need to connect on/off switch which will control your fog lights. I'm not sure if those items were included in the package or not, but you will need the following parts to do next steps:
1 Toyota switch (P/N PT297-89013-SW)
1 Toyota Relay (sorry, I'm not sure what's the part # on that, but that is the relay which plugs in "fog lights" place in your fuse box, which is under the hood)
2 wires to connect the fog lights switch
Also, if I remember correctly, you will need to connect black/red wire (#11) and green/black wire (#12) to your fog light switch and mount the switch. Those two wires are located under the steering wheel on the C13 connector.
I hope this helps,

An easier way may be to pick up the factory Toyota stalk w/ fog switch that plugs right in to the steering column after removing the turn signal stalk you have currently. Then plug in the factory relay under the hood and you should be pretty much set.

Stalk will work too, and that's how I actually have my foglights setup. I'm not exactly sure what's the part number for the stalk, but just tell them that you need the stalk from "Limited" edition.
As far as Toyota switch, I'm using that to raise or lower my power antenna
