How do you re-clock a MM PE8000 winch?
I have finally gotten a winch to install on my ARB Tacoma bumper. I've only had the ARB mounted on my 97 4Runner for six years so I am not in that much of a hurry. The instructions that came with the ARB said to remove the gearbox boltsthen lift and rotate the gearbox. The problem is that a Mile Marker winch only has scres on the gearbox cover and no bolts at the base of the gearbox like a Warn. I could install it like it is, but I would have to get down on my knees and reach up from the bottom to reach the clutch lever.

When Central 4WD put my Warn XD9000 winch on my 4Runner with the ARB bumper back in 2002, they did not clock it, and I had to reach underneath.
ARB clocked the XD9000 for me back in December when the reinstalled it on the new rig.
Not the lever is on top and accessible from the opening in the bumper.
So the MM is not able to be clocked at all?

I have an E9000 and was looking into rotating the clutch myself to get rid of the spacers I'm using to make it useable in my demello bemper. I only found one post without instructions that someone said they did it on an Xterra forum.
The other option is to take the winch apart and rotate the clutch. I talked to MileMarker about it before I tried and it isn't too tough. You have to remove the cross bars, slide off the transmission, remove the endplate and gears, and you can put the clutch anywhere you want it. Good luck

Instructions
Mile Marker sent me photo instructions on clockign the cam ring today. These instructions are good for 8000 and 9000 series winches based on the image names. I asked for instructions for an E9000.
