Once you take off the two bolts you push the entire assembly towards the driver side of the car, then it should just pop right off.

Funny how it seems even the easiest tasks can be difficult. You look at the owner's manual and it looks so simple but when you try to pull it off it seems like it won't budge and you're afraid you'll break something, haha. I've been there.

Open the tailgate. There are two bolts on the right side, of your left tail light. Should be a 10mm socket or a philips screwdriver can also be used to remove them. The light is clipped in still to the body. You have to push the light to the left while keeping the light square to the body and it will pop out. Its important to push the light to the left not pull. Of course reverse for the passenger / right side.

Bulb is 7443 in Autozone.
