Fender flare fix (pic)

Hey everyone, first time poster but long-time user. I've found a wealth of information on here which has helped me take care of my 4Runner, but I've been having trouble figuring out exactly what to do with a little body-work problem.

I have a 2001 SR5 4WD which I purchased with fender flares already installed. At some point the rear passenger side flare fell or got clipped off, I'm not quite sure. Anyhow, I've been driving around without it for years but have recently decided it'd be nice to get it back.

So question one is where can I buy a single rear passenger side fender flare? I've checked on eBay but none of the images look like they'd fit the spot over fender (but perhaps I'm just not looking at it right). Question two is how easy is this thing to reinstall since I've got all the holes/pegs done?

Many thanks in advance, and please see pic below:

I would check with salvage yards in your area.
Other than that you might have to get the part at your local dealership. I would guess it will not be cheap from the dealer but it might be your only option...

Someone might chime in with another source....

Good luck!

Thanks. Any ideas on how easy it would be to install?

The '86 pickup I had had a missing flare, I searched all over for one fender flare and couldnt find. salvage yard might be your best bet for finding one, otherwise you'll end up buying a set. As far as installing, it looks to me (by the picture above) that the flare actually slides and then snaps into place with those, what I like to call, christmas tree retainers.

If the piece of fender flare is not broken you can simply buy new clips to replace the broken ones. Installation is just a matter of pushing the part back into the holes with the new clips.

This has happened to me a few times and I now keep a small stock of these body panel clips on hand. I purchased a box of the various clips from: http://www.clipsandfasteners.com/Cli...lding_s/76.htm
