How do I change a Fuel Injector

I have a 98 4runner. Last week I changed all my plugs which was the first maintenance I have ever performed on my 4runner. I was successful thanks to this sites help. The only problem is that it did no fix my problem. I started looking on this site and think that my problem is a bad fuel injector in cylinder 4 and I will tell you why. When it first started misfiring I took it to a mechanic and he ran the codes and said there was a problem with the 4 cylinder. So he changed that plug out because it was cracked and charged my 100.00 which I was not happy with. Shortly after that my problem returned while I was going fast on the interstate because I was late for court. This weekend I replaced all the spark plugs and noticed that the one in cylinder for was white when I took it out. At that time the spark plug being white did not mean anything to me. Now that the problem returned again and I read this site some more, I saw a post where someone said that if the plug was white that there was not enough fuel getting to the plug and the problem was in the fuel injector. Now here are my issues. This sounds expensive to have the dealership or a mechanic to repair. I was wondering if people thought that it would be to difficult for a newbie to attempt and if not does anyone have directions on how to do change a fuel injector with real pictures? That is how I changed out the spark plugs and it was a life saver. If not does anyone know anybody in the middle tennessee area that would not bend me over the hood of my car fixing the problem? I just opened my own law practice and the funds are low.

It maybe a bit much for you if your not mechanically inclined since you have to pull the throttle body and complete intake plenum and then the fuel rails to access the injectors....

Have a look at the first part of installing a supercharger (about the first 8 pages), that will get the intake off. http://customtacos.com/tech/files/v6_supercharger.pdf Note: the first page of the SC instructions is blank so scroll down a page to start.

From there you need to remove the fuel rail (don't reuse the crush washers, get new ones).

If it looks like you can handle that, I can go into more details.

Okay, nevermind, lets move onto my last question. Does anyone know someone in the middle tennessee area that is good and will not take all of my money. I might could do it, but I think it would cost me more money once I screwed something up. Thanks for the help, those picture were good, but I can be a man and say no way in hell I should attempt that.
