I was told that it had a 2.5in revtek suspension lift when I got it, but the guy didnt seem very honest. Any way for me to tell?

It does look to me like it has a lift. I'm sure others will tune in to let you no for sure. What size tires are you running?

It looks like a Rev. Bodylifts expose more frame underneath the vehicle. Look into the front wheel well and see if there's a spacer looking deal on the top of the big spring.

tires are 31s. it looks like a body lift to you frodin1?

No gap between the rear bumper and trailer hitch.. so that rules out the body lift. Looks like about a 2.5" suspension (spacer type) lift.

A 4runner with thornbirds looks good. I've been wondering about that. What size rim and tire are you running? I'm thinking about getting either bajaclaws or procomp xterrains. and now, thornbirds.

the tires are 31x10.5x16, the wheels are 16x8 I believe. the handling is horrible though. especially on the highway.

thornbirds look awsome but they ride like poop and have traction like poop

I don't think any of the MT Classic style wheels in 16x8 have that deep concavity to them. Those wheels look more like 16x10's. But if they are really 16x8's with that deep concaved look... please tell me you know what company makes them...

how much do these spacer lifts cost. I did a search and it looked like the revtek spacer lifts were ~$500?

Sorry about the delayed response, I meant it did not look like a bodylift to me. You can usually tell a mile away if they are. These spacer lifts vary from price and kits. I actually have a question on another thread about this. Why is it one kit is $100 and another $400? I couldn't tell you. I do know I paid close to $300 for my Daystar but that was installed. I lifted my rig to just compensate for the larger tire size. If I was to do any heavier wheeling I would've went with an entirely different setup. It all depends what you want to do with your rig.IMO

Cant you tell if its a body lift by looking in the rear wheel well to see if there is any space between the frame and body??

Yes you can. But the easiest way to tell if its a body lift is to look for a gap inbetween the rear bumper and the trailer hitch. The rear bumper is mounted to the body, and the hitch is mounted to the frame. So you raise the body, and the bumper goes with it, and the hitch stays the same. So no gap=no lift.
