How can I press on transfer case flange studs?

I was removing my driveshafts and the studs that are pressed into the driveshaft flanges on the transfer case came out. Now I cannot get them flush when I am tightening the nuts to reinstall the driveshaft.

Do I need to remove the flanges (front and rear) off of the transfer case to have the studs pressed back in?

Is there a way to press these studs back in without having to remove the flanges?

Can I just go get new bolts that I dont have to press in and use those?

If the shaft is off, how about a big C-clamp and a socket over the stud?
