hitch ballmount

I need a hitch and ball mount, what is the recommeneded drop for an 04 trd 4X4?

I don't think there's any recommendation, I think it just depends on keeping your trailer level. All trailers ride at different heights.

Get your trailer first (if you don't already have one). Put it behind your truck on level ground, and measure the drop that you need to keep the trailer level. If you will be pulling different trailers, you might want to look at getting an adjustable ball mount like this, that way you can change the height to match the trailer. They are pricier, so keep that in mind if you do go that route.
