High-Lux

I called the local tyre place today to see if they could balance my SR5 wheels and told him i had had a Hilux. When i went around to him, he came out and said "Sh#@, it really is a High-lux isnt it. Made me feel good! He then proceeded to ask me "why is it so high?" I didnt think it was that high. When i put the body lift in i removed the running boards, so maybe it looks really high to others and i suppose most other 4wheels dont have any real clearance. Wasnt going to tell him that i wanted 33" tyres on it. He probably would think me mad. Some people just dont understand the 'High' thing.

I pulled the running boards off my 95 4Runner. I spent the next week telling all my friends that "No, I did NOT lift my truck!"
You're right. They look higher just pulling the boards.

I'm still looking for mud flaps for mine, but having no luck. I really like the Jaos ones, but th eare far too expensive. Around $250. May go for Toy pickup ones, not sure of price.

I use Tacoma mudflaps on mine. They bolt right up, no problems. Cost was about $30 a piece.

They look pretty good. Is that $30 each = $120. If so that seems quite high.

No, $30 each for the front two = $60. I still have the stock rear ones. Ya, they work perfectly, and although you can buy cheaper ones, these bolted right up, and I wanted them quickly, so I went for them.
