High Angle CVs or Manual Hubs?
Hey guys does anyone know where I can get high angle CVs or high angle CV boots for my 01 4runner? Failing that I'd like to get a manual hub conversion. I see Offroad Solutions has been out of business for a while.
I have an approx 4" lift on the front with a diff drop kit and I am wearing the inner CVs out about once a year. Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated,
Jason

Take the clamp off the outside of the inner boot and slide the boot down the shaft. Put some type of glue between the shaft and the boot and put a hose clamp on over the boot. Problem solved. That will space out the fins on the boots and make them last longer.
Google "boot slide mode" and you'll get better descriptions.
Or, a better idea, lower that front lift before you break a balljoint.

Thanks, I will give that a shot. I've been running the lift for the last 7 years, no issue other than the boots wearing. I even have the limitng straps installed too.
