2) Yes...they have HID kits for 3rd gens and they do have Hi/Low kits

aftermarket HIDs are NOT legal, expect to pay a hefty fine when you get busted.
factory headlight housing is not designed for such high-output beam, which is the reason why most(not all) factory-issued HIDs are projector based.
These are the two major reasons that keeps me from gettin it. I think the light pattern is just ugly without cutoff lines of projector. to get it done correctly you'd have to modify the housing and fit a projector(Audi seems to be most popular) into it. With just the HID bulb itself is too bright, too much light goes to waste, not to mention how much people will get annoyed by them. Color sure is pretty tho.

i have hid's in my 4runner and i love them. Not legal my a$$. I've had them for over a year and a half and haven't had a single problem with the piggies. I bought mine from Catz. They are H4 dual beams. I have the aqua white color, but they have others available. They are one of the best investments, next to my supercharger.
