HID retro #2 in Tacoma using Acura TL's lots of PICS

i had done a previous retro with E46 bixenons out of a BMW, they were ok, but i craved more, anyway on to the pics. (my old retro thread is here: https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f2/hid-retrofit-completed-95631/)

cutoff at about 10-12 feet

color along cutoff line at about 25 feet away

high beam at 25 feet

hid's and fog

color at cutoff

under cutoff

cutoff along wall

output pic, note: the yellow color is because my fog lights are on

comments are welcome!

they are bone stock, the color mod IMO really distorts the cutoff at a distance, they have plenty of color stock

very nice. like most people, i wish i had the cash to do this very nice, effective and safe mod. how'd you go about aiming these projectors when you were mounting them in the housing? was it a pita to wire up the high beam solenoid things?

Very nice. I was going to upgrade to HID in my projectors but opted to spend the money on gears, locker, and wheels. Now that's I'm driving to work at the butt-crack of dawn, I'm wishing my projectors were HID.

don't forget that any vehicle that did not come stock with HID's is not street legal.....some stupid DOT regulation.

yes, i know, but because these dont glare any more than my stock halogens I'm not worried about attracting cops, if i had a PNP hid kit, well that would be a different story

i temporally mounted them to the halogen reflector, i then installed them in the truck with the front lens of the headlight removed, and just adjusted them until i was happy, then i took them out, and hot glued them in there, i used hot glue because of its strength and sealing abilities, the high beam on the TL projectors are easy, one wire goes to ground, the other goes the the 12v high beam wire from the stock harness
