HHHEEEELLLPPP guys...

hey fellow yotatech guys... i need your help badly.. I need a toyota 3.0L motor..i need one quick..i've call like 30 junkyards in indiana and not a single one has one...if u guys could give me some info where i might be able to find one cheap...or if u know of any around where u live?

why do you want another 3.slow? look for a 3.4.

You can buy mine for the price of a 3.4. Im in St. Louis, hell I'll pull it and bring it to you too. Was rebuilt 30K ago.

Have you tried a site like Car-part.com ?

I'm sure my favorite yard here in town has one or two but i'd be wary of just throwing in a junkyard motor without a thourough checkup and/or rebuild. Shipping one halfway across the country won't be cheap.

Not all 3.0s are created equal. There are lots of little things that changed over the years and chances are most of the wiring harnesses won't plug right in. Try to find one with all the same options/tranny/smog equipment and soforth.

what about a homemade chevy small block swap?? one of my 4-wheelin buddies has done them on 3 other toyota trucks and they run and look pretty sweet..i've thaught bout just doin that.. what u guys think?

What engine was put in, EFI or carbed and what tranny is he running? I want to put in something with a lot of HP to go with the full widths that I have in the shop.

305 carbed...stock toyota 5 speed with modified bellhousing..

Try the ford 5.0 HO very fast , and easy to find motor.
