it is recommended to run those on an 8" wheel...but I have seen a handful actually do it I may be wrong, but I think calrockx is running 315/75 on the same wheel...pm him and find out the info.

I would try a 285/75, the 255/85 are the same height but skinnier. I just like the look of a little wider tire.

on a stocker wheel, you'll need spacers (at least on the front). 305's on a 16X8 w/ 4.5"BS has maaybe .25" clearance. on a stock wheel, you'll be cutting nice ruts in your sidewalls. my buddy has LC's and 305 MT/R's..thats where i got the clearance figures from. stock on 285's will rub too. check the 'backspacing wheels' thread.

i know bruceTS & calrockx both run the 5spoke LTD wheels, but they've widened theirs to an 8" width. not sure what they've done backspacing-wise.

rule of thumb but not set in stone: dont go more than 4-4.5" wider tire than wheel...

i think they got OMF to do it, since they got beadlocks installed at the same time. might want to PM them for more specific info, or maybe they'll chime in...
