Question HELP! Revtek diff drop

I have the two front struts done, and am about to drop the diff before mounting them. However, looking between the diff and the 2nd crossmember, it does not look like there is enough space to drop the diff w/o hitting the crossmember. Is there really enough space?

Do you have any pics of what your talking about Ken? That may help in getting an answer. I really have no clue myself.

Ken there is enough room for the drop diff, and yes it does look like it touches the crossmember. when you first drop the diff it will sit right on the crossmember but when you put the bolts in and tighten them it will raise back up just a hair to clear it so that it is not laying on the crossmember. Oh if you have not done it yet be prepared for those diff bolts to be a bitch to get out. I think Toyota puts some kind of locktight on them or something. Hope this helps. Doug.

Use a breaker bar on the bottom bolt, and a box end wrench on the tops. You will probably have to give it a pretty good tug. The bolts come out, pull the diff down, insert the spacers, put in new bolts and nuts. Done. Once you have the tools ready it will take you 5 minutes.

For those who are still curious about pics, here are the two parts of the diff that I see may hit:

Yeah, breaker bar ready to go.
