Help! Replacing front bearing on 4Runner

I have a 97 4runner limited 4x4. I am trying to replace the front wheel bearing. The trouble I am having is finding the part. I have ordered two bearings, one from advance auto parts and one from Toyota. My mechanic says that the bearings are too big to fit. I have attached a photo of the bearing that we are trying to replace.

What is going on? Could there be two bearings? Is my mechanic an idiot? Which side does the bearing slide out from, brake side or axle side? Any help would be appreciated.

There is only one bearing per side. Once you get the axle hub pressed out, and you remove the bearing spacer and ABS ring, you'll be able to see things more clearly. You'll then need to remove the seal and snap ring on the outboard side of the spindle, then you press the bearing outward (towards where the rotor would be). To install the new bearing, you press it in from rotor side, and re-install the rest of the parts in the reverse order that you took them out.

Are you planning on trying this with the spindle still installed on the vehicle? It's a lot easier with the spindle on a bench, and even much easier if you have access to a press.
