Help please.
Hi all,
Need help with some questions...actually confirmations of what I have read so far (so many posts...can be confusing). Any help would be greatly appreciated as this is my first 4runner and first modification.
3rd generation 4Runner...2002 4runner "Badlands" Canadian version (in usa I believe its called the SR5 Sport)
I have decided to go the route of PP 1" lift springs with Bilstein HD shocks, Axis "Regulator" wheels 16x9 and Firestone destination MT's 265/75/16 (I would like just a mild lift with extra grip to get to those remote fishing holes and mountain bike trails).
Here are my questions:
1. Will that mild of a lift (most readers got 1.5-1.75 of lift) affect cv boots, transmission or drivtrain wear? I want my truck to last a long time and don't want the toyota quality to suffer.
2. The Axis "Regulator" wheels are 16x9.0 with a backspacing of 4.5" (OE wheels are 16x7 backspacing of 4.375"..right?) mounted with Firestone Destinations MT's 265/75/16 (Talking to the company techie...the wheels should stick out past wheel well by an 1") my question is...will i get any rub with this setup?
3. Will the Firestone Destination MT's (265/75/16) still fit under my truck where the spare wheel originally sits...and...can i still mount a trailer hitch (bike rack) to the truck with this increase in tire size?...or does the tire have to go on the roof?
Thanks in advance to anyone that replies.
Much appreciated.
