Help identify this?
The part with the green x is where it the leak is coming from.
Can I repair or replace that part or the circled part without replacing the whole rack? What are these parts called? By the way the pic is borrowed. [IMG] [/IMG] |

The area above the circle is the Immediate Shaft Assembly.
The circled area is the Steering Gear. The Haynes book I am refering to says no, You do not remove the rack. I would almost guarantee you cannot get parts for the steering gear and as such you would be replacing the assy. Highly recommend if you replace the gear yourself, Get a book!!! But if you saving money I can scan the pages and email them to you. |
