HELP! I got ran off the road and smacked a rock now............

Hi guys, I need some thoughts, I got ran off the road the other night and hit an embankment and a nice rock at 35mph, which threw me up into the ceiling of the truck with my seat belt on! My passenger side front new Revo has a nice bulge in it , and when I am going strait my steering wheel is turned half way to the right. I just had an alignment done when I got the tires not even a month ago. I am also hearing a slight clunk in the front. I have new Rancho RS9000X shocks and a new Rancho RS5000 stabilizer kit. Other than that the front end is stock. What do you think could have bent, or is it possible to just knock the front end out of alignment without breaking anything? The truck still goes down the road strait but the front wheel looks to be out toed out at the bottom. I just ordered Downey 2" rear lift springs and ball joint spacers so I am going to have to get an alignment done again anyway, I just thought I would ask what I should check while I have the front end up and the wheels off. I keep the shocks set on 4 which is really firm for the highway and back roads then drop them to 1 in the rear and 2 on the front for off road. I really hope I didn’t bend the frame or do any major damage. Please reply and let me know what your thoughts are. Thanks, Matt

Talking To the shop

Take it to someone you trust to assess the damage or a reputable dealer preferably and let them tell you what they think. I imagine that you just busted that tire and should replace it immediately and that you just knocked the steering rack out of alignment and will need another.

Good luck!

ran off the road...

Yeah, Costco is going to replace the tire free of charge with their road hazzard warranty. As for the steering rack, I need to replace the steering box, or have an alignment done? I am going to wait till I install the bj spacers and springs before I take it to the shop for an assesment and alignment though. I havent been driving it though just to be safe! I am not sure what could have bent or pulled out of alignment to make my steering wheel off this far. I hate other drivers that dont pay attention to where they are going.

I'd call my insurance agent, it should be covered.
