Help this guy out? Update!
I received this email today and I'm not sure which part he's talking about.
What do you guys think it is? Fenders? running boards? The plastic thing on the ends of the running boards?
Steve
I am looking for good online store with pictures where I can by few parts for my 4runner1998.
I don't know the part name becouse my english is not good enough. It is plastic part which I can fix on fenders, bumpers side and back door around the wheel hole. I don't want to buy steper (if you call it like this)so I need plastic things for 4runner w/o steper.
I hope that you understand what I am looking for!
Thanks in advance!

Man, that's tough.
My first thought was fenderflares. Then I kept reading. I think the "steper" is the running boards, which isn't what he wants.
Then I thought he was talking about the plastic trim. I don't think there is any trim on the back door though.
Now I think he might be talking about the bodykits that all of the ricers have.
I'm stumped. Those were the only things I can think of.

If he's interested, I have the running boards for my 96 Limited. I was planning on putting them back on, but why? I decided on a set of nerfs or sliders.
They're his if he wants them. What's a fair price?

Hmmm. I don't really know either. When he says "back door around the wheel hole", I'm not really sure where he means. Is that the arched cut out over the rear wheel wells at each of the back doors? Or is that the little hole on the rear bumper where you stick the pole in to lower your spare tire? Or maybe he's talking about the lift gate? I dunno. I'd guess the side doors though. I thought fender flares at first too. A few other things came to mind though.
Mud flaps maybe?
The black plastic that lays on the step part of the back bumper and side steps?
Anyhow, best I can make out is limited style fender flares without the running boards and some front mud flaps. Do they have a little peice that goes over the wheel well part of the rear passenger doors on the 3rd gens?
Beats me.
Have fun all.

Steve,
Man, that is one confusing email. at the very least, have the guy take or fwd a pic of what hes talking about.
Where did his email originate from (country)? Maybe if he wrote in his native language, someone here speaks the lingo.
It's really weird: i've been getting a few random emails from people who've found me from the write ups in the tech section. but they just searched from google and not from here.
the most interesting one is from this guy from the UK who bought a UN 4runner that was used in Bosnia!

Yes I think our friend is looking for the fender flares...he is just letting us know that he does not want to incorporate them into any running boards.

The best thing to do probably is to send him a picture of 4Runner (http://www.andreys.com/misc/4Runner.jpg) and just ask him to circle the parts he needs. That will benefit everyone and nobody will have to randomly guess if it is fender flares or mud flaps
