Help- grinding Noise?

Ok, just recently I started hearing a noise (sort of a light grinding sound) when I was slowing down at around 1500-2000 rpms. It only does it when I push the clutch in and it only does it occasionally. Everything shifts very smooth and the clutch doesn't grind at all or slip when I put it in gear or shift gears. Any thoughts????

what area is the noise coming from? Are you braking?

Could be the u-joints. I had a weird whirrling chirping coming when I slowed down after long trips and it was the u-joints needing some grease!
