this is my part number 8.5118G. The brackets are too small and i did not get any bolts for them. Does anyone know where i can just order the bracket? Im thinking about just ordering a new kit. Do i go with energy or daystar? I need something fast though...i dont have anything to drive.

Are the ones from wheelers any good compared to the energy ones. the energy ones have graphite? in them. does it matter? tHanks again

matt

If you're talking about using a stock bracket to support the ES bushings, no, you can't (at least I can't). The ES bushing are much thicker in terms of outside diameter and the stock brackets simply won't work.

You can drive without the front swaybar... You'll wanna be careful about pulling corners, but you won't break anything on the truck.

I found these part numbers---I do not have an addeco swaybar.

Fronts -- http://store.summitracing.com/defaul...161R&x=21&y=11

rear-- http://store.summitracing.com/defaul...156R&x=21&y=11

are these right? Also, I already have the NON greasable front sway bar bushings, just no brackets. is there anywere i can get brackets???

The bushings say they are for a 25mm front sway bar and the rears are for a 19mm sway bar. Is that right?

Damn... that sucks.

ummm, I'm also not sure of the sizes. I went through all of my parts orders for the truck from various vendors in the last 2 years and I couldn't find any reference to them.

I dunno if the ones that you found at Summit are right... The chart at ES seems to say 19 & 23, and then I found this site:

http://www.carjunky.com/accessories/...n&skipped=true

Which is saying 27mm for the front - that seems HUGE.

I have been wondering this as well. While I have searched this site for a while I always seem to get different sizes on bushings to order.

alright..heres the verdict.

Energy Suspensions greasable bushings are amazing. Day and night difference

The factory sway bar upfront is 1inch and the rear is 3/4. The only thing is that i had to buy new bolts and diff washers b/c the washers that came with the bushings are trash. Also, you might want to order new bushings for the endlinks.

Dang, no wonder it was so difficult to get that bracket back on after installing the ES bushing.

I had to use a floor jack to press the swaybar bracket back on over the new bushings and then cranked the bolts down, lol.

(I used the 26mm bushings for my 97 4Runner btw).

yeah... That little tidbit caused some new words to show up under my truck one day.

I first "realized" it in a thread here talking about rack bushings.
