Help...3vze runners, where does this wire go

Im just in the middle of changing my plugs,& have found this wire that looks like it should be earthed.Im sorry i dont have a pic,but if one of you look at the base of your ignition coil, there is a little black plug with numbers on mounted on the sercuring bolt.it has two wires coming from it ,one leads into a buch of wires in a black tape/plastic surround, the other goes into a male/female type conection then out of that conection is a thick taped up wire with a large flat washer style fitting on the end(this is the bit that is roaming free),I need two know where this washer type fitting is ment to be mounted (presuming its a earth)either on the engine block or the chassis.
can someone point me in the right direction.

Because I'm such a nice guy, (and work is really boring today) I just had a look at mine. The wire is definitely a ground. The end near that little plastic block grounds to the inner fender about 10 cm away from the coil. The other end attaches to the driver side valve cover, or I guess passenger side in your part of the world.
