I put on my 20" rims on my 4runner and installed some 1997 2WD springs from a salvage yard. I also did the alignment. The problem is that now there is a slight clicking noise coming from under the car when I hit the gas slowly from a dead stop or brake slowly to a dead stop. It's not very loud but enough to bother me. It feels like something is snapping in place. It doesn't always happen, but I noticed that it especially does it after I turn the car on. It only does it at very low speeds such as when pulling out of the garage. My tires are not even close to rubbing, so that can't be it and it doesn't necessarily do it on turns. The only other new mod i did was install 2 step colder plugs.

I also noticed that when I floor the pedal a black cloud of smoke comes out of my TRD exhaust sometimes. Is this because I have not done the fuel mods with my supercharger?

I don't know the answer to your problems, but let's get the thread back up to the top so someone can help...

check your sway bar mounts on the axle. it has a bracket it notches into, could make some noise if not seated right.

did you take it loose to install the springs?

oh-- front or rear?

it could be your front pads, ----normal clicking noise when the pads set with the shims and squeal gear.
