A while back I asked about a rear sway bar for my '04 PreRunner Double Cab TRD in this thread. Ended up ordering a Hellwig bar, part number 7667, from Suspension Connection. It arrived today and I tossed it on, so here are a few comments and pics that might come in handy if you're thinking of a rear bar.

Niggles during installation were few. First of all, for the money, the bolts & such could stand to be higher quality. At first glance it doesn't look like it'll fit because of all the lines & such on the differential. In a couple of spots the brake lines have to be tweaked a bit, but it's really not that big of a deal. (As an aside, I did discover the brake line on the driver's side to feel a bit loose in its fitting and plan to have that looked into.) I took a grinder after one of the mount brackets to add some brake line clearance, again, no big deal. Things are tight, but rest assured that there's a large sweet mounting spot where everything clears. All that's left to do it is to trim off the excess threads on the U-bolts.

Long story short, I'm very pleased with the change in handling. There's little doubt that this will improve things nicely when loaded down, which is what I'm really after.

Comes in a fairly small box, maybe 20 pounds...
