Heep Killer
I thought you guys may find this amusing so I thought I'd share. My partner at work has a Heep Grand Choker with the V8 and all the fancies. Well, he installed a K&N intake, Upgraded his chip, Magna Flow exhaust, a bunch of other add-ons and decided it was time to show me why domestics are better than "Rice Burners".
With his stock tires on and me having larger aftermarkets, he did in fact beat me in the 1/4 mile. By about 1/2 a vehicle length, twice. He actually caught up and went ahead around the 40-50 mph range (Toyota low end torque on the V8 is great, I jumped on him pretty quickly).
He liked my tires and wheels and also swapped his out for the same size tire I have. Once they were installed, I had to run him again.
The Yota ate the Heep up, he had no chance from the start to the finish as my "Rice Burner" kept increasing the distance between us. We went a couple of times, all with the same result.
Before he got home he was on the radio with our quarry mechanic looking for a contact to install nitrous.
I'll let him have some satisfaction and contentment for a while, at least until the SC's come down in price!
to all of you "Rice Burners",
