? on Heavy Duty Springs, '02 Taco TRD 4x4
Hi Folks,
Someone is offering Rancho Heavy Duty springs for sale locally. I'm intrigued on what improvements (or degrade?) I would get by swapping out my stock trd springs with these Rancho HD springs. He said that I will gain some front lift. I'm mainly interested in how of/off road handling and ride would be affected.
I drive a stock auto '02 Taco extcab TRD 4x4 with a campershell.
Thanks,
hong

The Rancho kit looks like a 1.5" lift for the front of your truck, including a new shock and front spring. My bet is the setup will be a little stiffer and also level the rake out of your truck. If you don't mind a stiffer ride and like a leveled truck, I'd go with it. You'll also need to re-align your front end.
