Hey All, so am now in the reaslembly process of my first gen 4runner. It's only been a year now that it has been stuck in the garage! lol! the heater core was shot before I started rebuilding everything else, now everything is done and I can't seem to find a heater core that is the same as the old one without spending about three hundred bucks at the stealership. have ordered one through murrays and two now through Autozone. and none of them have been a right fit. Murrays lists the same heater core for with and without backseat heater, yet it is smaller than the original. And Autozone had two different ones that i've ordered now. one smaller (with backseat heat) and one the same size, but different plumbing on top. any ideas out there. the setup is no backseat heater, it has AC if that affects the way the ducts are set up under the dash. Have one parts place that wanted me to get the part numbers from toyota to verify and cross reference with one they can get. Any Ideas or suggestions would be truely appreciated.

we got any dealership people in here that can get me a good price on a heater core, or get me part numbers to cross reference with another parts place?

The local auto parts store had em here for $15-$20 range. I am pretty sure there is only one size HC toyota used for the pickup and 4runner. They don't come with lines. Have those lazy sobs behind the counter pull out the refference book and flip to toyota, they only have a handfull of HC for all their cars. They should have picture and measurements of all the possibilites.
