i removed the entire headliner in my 4runner to drill some bolt holes in the roof. took about 30 min to get the interior wall panels off and the headliner came off real easy after that, dunno about a taco liner but i cant imagine its very hard . . . you just have to find all the wall panel mounting points

web,
look at my sound deadening write up and there's a section there that tells you how to do it. the 'anatomy' pic will probably help you out the most:

Bob,
Great write up and documentation.
I am not trying to hijack the thread, because this has to do with the interior headliner and pilar cover removal.
I was thinking about adding wiring for driving lights on the roof, and I am sure this has been written about pretty extensively, but...
Here is my question: I noticed that there is some sort of plastic fastiner in a hole in the roof just in front of the last forward roof rack track mounting hole. Does this hole in the roof or the fastiner do anything? If not can I run wires through that then down the "B" pillar, under the threshold plate at the front door and under the dash to do the wiring?? It just looked like the natural spot to run wire when I had the front track cap off to add my landing pads for the new Yakima control towers...
