Question Headlight/Taillight Problem

Hows it going? havent posted in awhile but new problems has risen

Well my headlight is out and im pretty sure its the bulb because i checked the fuse and it was fine, so my question is what is the best replacement headlight bulbs? I did a search and many like the sylvanias ones and the silverstars but i dont want to wait and i need the fastest (week or so) and cheapest (30-40) fix i can get. Also is there a easier way to change bulbs besides taking whole assembly apart?

also my taillights arent coming on? my brake lights are working tho
I thought it was the same bulb? Once again the bulb and fuse are both intact and I think i check the harness properly, i just unplugged and re-plugged. any help would be appreciated.

TIA
Kevin

Is this a newer or older truck? What year? Is the headlight a sealed beam or halogen bulb? Either one, the Sylvanias are about the best all-around buy for price vs. performance. Not sure about your assembly...
Again, not sure what truck this is on, but the 1157 brake/taillight bulbs have 2 filaments, one for brake, one for tail. Could be that the tail filaments are blown. They're cheap enough where just replacing them can't hurt. Was there any corrosion on the harness when you unplugged it? Did you pull the bulb out and check for corrosion on the base or in the socket? When you change them, add some dielectric grease to the tip one the base of the bulb to help inhibit corrosion. Hope this helps.
