Headlight options for 97 4Runner

I just bought a "new" 4Runner that has a factory headlight assembly and some sort of aftermarket assembly that is much nicer. I am looking to see what options there are for headlight assemblies so that I may replace it/them.

Upgrade the wiring harness for the lights as well, and you'll end up with a good setup. The "stock" lighting on the 97 is pretty awful.

Wow, I had no idea how expensive these things are. Those look close to the odd ball one I have. They are a direct bolt in I take it.

Mine were good, you can adjust the pattern yourself in a few minutes.

Those ones that are painted black which means they were tore apart, painted and then resealed and those can have beam problems and you can't fix it and I think that's what garrett was talking about. Those black ones are not factory or JDM in any way and if you buy those type of ebay specials it'll be hit and miss on quality.

Be patient. Search eBay, junkyards, and wherever else until you find OEM '99+ headlights. You CAN get them for the same price or less than the copycat ones out there.

99+ headlights on my '96...
