The slit design is interesting....are you guys the only ones that have done this?
Also is red the only anodized color? I like black anodize myself.

The slit design is patented. There were two companies that were making pulleys in viloation of the patent, one agreed to stop to keep out of court and action is being taken against the other one.

Most people prefer the red since it is a performance upgrade and that is why we went with it. Maybe down the road we might do other colors, but not likely real soon after all there are a couple of companies already doing plain black conventional pulleys and we wanted to stand out from that crowd.

Lets face it. If you had one of our pulleys on your truck and as soon as you opened your hood all attension will be drawn directly to the pulley.

I guess you're not into the sleeper look then.

Do the slits do any damage to the belt over time?
I would think they might bite into the belt a bit and potentially reduce it's life.

I mean why wouldn't the car companies use it to reduce belt slippage too?

It extends belt life by reducing belt slip.

The pulley is very expensive to make. That maybe why you do not see them new from the factory. I can tell you for certain that many of the factory race teams that use supercharger are running this pulley design.

Sounds pretty good but how did you get the patent if they were running it already?
Did they forget to patent their idea?
