Is that a spherical joint with replaceable inners? What is the material inside it - UHMW Plastic? The link doesn't take us to that item...

Unfortunately, the site isn't very detailed. I have tried different ways to make the link work, but for whatever reason, it just kicks you to that first page. Put in all your vehicle info, then select the Poly(heim) joint from the product list.

Looks like the Rubicon Express "Johnny joint", which you can also purchase from www.spidertrax.com

I've never seen a decent drawing of width requirements, though. I had only heard the 2.625" minimum. Stock 3rd gen 4Runner rear mounts are slightly narrower than that.

UHMW plastic = Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene

This stuff is used all the time to replace things like bronze bushings. It' wears longer and is self lubricating...
