I did a search and can't find anyone that has tried the Bosal header pipe. I know with my Audi a cat back exhaust mostly just makes it sound good, but bang for the buck power comes from headers and a down pipe. I'm playing with the idea of Thorley headers into the Bosal down pipe to Magnaflow high flow cat & muffler. Bosal makes a stainless steel cat back as well and hi flow cat but it is spendy.

I tried to provide a link but the sites, like www.autoanything.com require putting in vehicle parameters (i.e. make, model, engine) so the link keeps going to just the home page. For about $70 it seems like something worth giving a shot if you are going to be there anyway putting in a header and/or catback. Obviously I would install new O2 sensors as well.

Why are you replacing your downpipe? The bosal pipe is a cheaper, thinner version of the factory downpipe. It is not an upgrade, just a replacement for your current factory pipe.

Instead of messing with that, why not do the Tacoma mini-header install? Check my sig for the link to the upgrade kit.

Okay...good to know. I'm used to down pipes being an upgrade that increases torque throughout the power band and being an exhaust upgrade.

Someone may make a downpipe in conjunction with a header upgrade, but the part you linked is merely a like-type replacement part
