Has anyone installed the TRD Trans cooler

Looking at putting the TRD cooler on for the strawberry milkshake issue. Does anyone have any thoughts or experience with it

A simple search with the words in your title - TRD Trans Cooler pulled this long one up as number 1...

Yes! All your answers are there.

The TRD cooler is very similar to others aside from it's special mounting brackets.

Well I did search but with the TRD part number. That article has lots of info but not much at all for the TRD cooler other than the question of what happens if you bypass the radiator in the winter months. I am still looking for anyone who installed the TRD cooler and bypassed the radiator to chime in

I'm guessing you're in Texas, if so the TRD cooler will probably be ok. Last I heard the TRD cooler was made by Hayden. They are good, but lack a built-in bypass for cold temps. Texas is normally not too cold, well maybe Amarillo is.

You should go with the Long 4454, it is much cheaper and many of us have had great success with it and it has a built in bypass.
