Hey Mike, as you may know, I've been inquiring for a TJM17. Any group or special buy on this one? Can't hurt to try to ask you....

Would any of you be interested in maybe a group buy on some CB's? I am not too sure how many of you want them, however, I could try to do something with that...Maybe some Midland 79-290's for everyone?? Corey???
I would be happy though to get you what you want, does not have to be Midlands Mike

CB's would be nice. Will those Midland's fit in the dash with a little bit of trimming?

CB's would be cool. I like the look of the Midlands, and they seem to be pretty dang popular.
Here's an idea...how about an ARB front bumper for us 2nd Gen guys?!?!?!? Email me if you want to talk about anything some more. Thanks

Hey anyone looking for seats? I just signed on with Corbeau and they have some beautiful seats!!! They even have custom brackets for our rigs...just bolt and go!!!
If we can get 4 people minimum we can do those...I cannot tell you the price, however, if we get 4 people let me know what seats and I will get you the price. Unfortunately, you will have to call me at 602.723.8811, I cannot publish the price online or through email... Take a look here for some of there seats....to view all of their seats, click here Talk to you later!! Mike |

Mike, that Midland CB you have the 79-290 is a nice unit, but I'm hanging on to my Cobra.
I have quite a bit invested in it in mods such as a 24 watt chip, and the sound chip I had put in yesterday. But if you can get a group buy on some CBs, that would be nice as they are real handy for trail rides. One thing the Midland model doesn't have though is the PA function, or I'd get one too.

It all depends on the price for me - I am still saving for an ARB bumper......and an FJ in the hopefully-near future!

Ya, that looks to be a little more in my price range. Also, I'm not too concerned about having a PA feature on mine.
Man, the harder I try to save money, the more I want to spend on my rig! This is ridiculous...but great at the same time

The Midland 79-290 is single din sized. It fits nicely under a single din radio in 3rd Gen 4Runners.
You do have to fab a bezel surround for it to fill 0.5" gaps on eigther side, that's the most difficult part of the install. You also have to fab some brackets out of plumbers strap which is easy. Rich P. on 4x4wire has some great pictures that are very helpful. Go there and do a search for "CB Install" and you'll find them. It works very well underneath you stereo as the face is slants out slightly at the bottom, angling the display up nicely for easy viewing. If you can live without the PA feature as Corey has pointed out, than it's a really great unit (especially since Group Buy Mike is hooking us up!!) Curt |
