Grey wire mod help!
does the ABS light come on after you do the grey wire mod?
i just did mine and the RR DIFF LOCK light just keeps flashing and the ABS light doesnt light up either.
i didnt use sauter i just used a sauterless wire tap and a screw eye connector to do it.
and to ground does the paint have to be sanded down to metal for it to work?
im going to go try to see if it works back in stock.

Yes, when you engage the rear locker, your abs light should come on and the RR Lock light should stay on steady. Yes if you can't find a ground around that area without paint, then you need to sand some off so the terminal makes good contact.
whats the grey wire mod and why do it?
The grey wire mod allows you to engage your rear locker, (if you have one) without being in 4lo...so you can pretty much engage it whenever you want, 4hi, 2hi, whatever..

another note of interest, if your light is flashing, your *mod* is working. your mod is telling the locker to engage. the light is flashing because the locker can't engage. which this happens, you should try driving forward some and then backwards some and, if necessary, doing a "S" shape path. you need everything in the differential to line up properly for it to engage. that is normal behavior.
